The Cruise section celebrates a focal point of our program: getting underway! We cruise rivers, lakes, bays, coastlines, and cross oceans. Here we celebrate our spirit of discovery combined with our smart seamanship and a healthy respect for the sea. Members and Alumni are welcome to send in their favorite cruising photos.
Ship 90, Chaser, Western Flotilla - departing the Ancient Mariner Regatta in 2010 returning to the Napa Sea Base on the Napa River, California. A former 90 foot Fish and Game vessel.
Ship 44, Farralon, on a day cruise with crew and guests; San Francisco Bay, circa 2009. Former 85 foot Navy armed search and rescue vessel in World War 2. Also formerly Ship 51, Intrepid from 1970-1980.
Combined crews of Ships 51 Intrepid, 17 Dauntless, and 65 Sea Eagle aboard the SSS Morris. Six-week San Francisco to Alaska and return Cruise, Summer of 1978. Vessel is at Glacier Bay, Alaska.
